“I would like to thank you and your staff for the splendid treatment and service I received while under your care for my lower back disc strain. The medicine of chiropractic is truly amazing and a terrific alternative to surgery.”

“I am writing to inform you of the improved condition of my back since I began chiropractic treatment with you.

As you know, I have had three surgeries on my lumbar discs. My first surgery occurred in 1982 with the most recent occurring in 1992. I have experience pain, stiffness, and limited mobility associated with the degenerating condition of my lumbar spine for the last fourteen years. In 1995, I chose to begin chiropractic treatment. Since beginning these treatments, my mobility has improved significantly, the stiffness has lessened, and the pain has greatly diminished.

I never considered chiropractic treatment a positive alternative for the control of pain and associated complications before my experience in 1995. You might say I believed it was a questionable practice suitable only for strained muscles, but certainly not the serious condition of my back. I was wrong, and am very grateful that I made the choice to give it a try. Chiropractic treatment has become and will continue to be a routine part of my health care.”

“We wanted to thank you and your staff for your excellent treatment of our son, Duncan. We first brought Duncan to see you on January 5, 2007. Duncan was complaining about a very sharp and immobilizing pain in his upper back near his neck. He plays baseball and the pain was too intense for him to even swing a bat or to throw a ball.

With every other day treatment, he felt 70% better within a week. After only 10 visits, he is virtually pain free. Your treatment coupled with the sport specific exercises you prepared means he can now swing a bat and field and throw a baseball. This is a dramatic improvement considering he felt sharp pain just from turning his head.

Without you and your staff, Duncan would not be ready for the start of baseball season at Texas High. We thank you again and appreciate all you have done for us.”

“I was diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome in my left had in 2005. I have had pain, at time extreme pain, and a lot of difficulty keeping my left hand functioning. After two visits with Dr. Raker, the flexibility was returning to my hand and I have had very little pain. I will continue to see Dr. Raker and I anticipate no further problems from my left hand. I would highly recommend to anyone with carpal tunnel syndrome to try Dr. Raker’s therapy.”

“I am a 64 year old male that has had chronic shoulder and arm pain primarily on the right side, which has been diagnosed in the last 6-7 years as bursitis tendinitis, or maybe carpal tunnel, as the right hand has numbness, tingling, and stays asleep. I started seeing several medical doctors, mostly emergency room treatment, but only got temporary relief. This last flair up started out as shingles in my right eye, by diagnosis of a doctor in the emergency room and was treated as such for shingles. The in eventually spread to my right arm. Also, at this time I was using my right hand operating an electric and standard screwdriver and this irritated the pain so much, it wouldn’t go away with any kind of pain medication. So I began to see Dr. Raker around the 1st of January 2003 and have finally gotten relief. These treatments have improved my condition from no pain and only slight tingling in my hand, which is getting better from each treatment.”

“Since I have been coming to Dr. Raker, for the first time in over a year, I have been able to sleep all night without my hand going to sleep and waking me up. Also, I do not have headaches like I did before. It sure is a good feeling!”

– Linda I.

“For many years as an Adult Nurse Practitioner, I referred my patients to chiropractors for muscular pain therapy. It was not until I personally experienced the pain resulting from a pinched nerve did I really appreciate the result of chiropractic therapy. With 3-4 treatments, Dr. Raker, had my pain controlled. I highly recommend him and his therapy to anyone with muscular pain or problem.”

“I am 3 1/2 months pregnant, I was told by my doctor not to really come for chiropractic care. But someone else suggested I go, I did and it helped me tremendously. I would suggest any one pregnant with lower back pain come weekly.”

– Becky M.

“I received chiropractic care from Dr. Raker during my pregnancy. I personally recommend anyone pregnant to receive chiropractic care, it helps.”

– Glenda W.

“I am a pregnant patient of Dr. Raker, and he has been helping me with my lower back & neck pain. It is really helping through my pregnancy. It doesn’t hurt, it feels good. I think all pregnant women should go to a chiropractor for back and neck problems. After pregnancy, he’s good for straightening the hips, and it is good for the baby too.”

“I am very thankful for the healing abilities of chiropractic. I had been having chronic headaches, which were very interruptive to my busy schedule as a minister. The headaches broke my concentration while studying and affected my interaction with others. I am happy to report that since undergoing chiropractic treatment, my chronic headaches have subsided and I am able to do my work again. Thank you for all you have done.”

“I suffer from constant pain caused by inflammation in my neck and lower back. I take prescription medication regularly, but due to the fact that pain meds are habituates; regular visits with my chiropractor for therapeutic treatments with adjustments of my body structure helps to minimize the pain. All of this can be medically proven since being involved in an automobile accident in 1997 which lead to my disability.”

– Carmelia S.

“After 5 visits, the pain from my headaches has decreased by more than 50%. I do not get near as many headaches either. I did not realize how tense my neck and back were until I started coming to your office. The pain I was feeling in my neck has decreased quite a lot as well.”

“I have worked in association with James Raker, D.C. with my patients with chronic pain. As the medical literature suggests, patients with chronic myofascial pain frequently do well, if not better, with chiropractic care than they do with more traditional treatments, such as physical therapy. Not all chiropractors are involved in mystical modalities of care. I find that Dr. Raker has a fair degree of medical knowledge. He has provided assistance to a number of patients with myofascial pain, and I have found chiropractic treatment to be a beneficial adjunct in the care of patients with chronic myofascial pain disorders.”
